Position
Nwestco is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the Company. The Financial Controller is
responsible for managing and directing the fiscal functions of the company in accordance with generally
accepted accounting principles, all jurisdictional and regulatory authorities, and in accordance with the
financial management techniques and practices that are appropriate within the industry. The Financial
Controller will be an important component of the senior management team and will be expected to provide
support, direction, and leadership at the corporate and branch levels of Nwestco. The Financial Controller will
work alongside an experienced team of other accounting and operations professionals and report directly to
the CEO and President of Nwestco.
The Financial Controller will receive a competitive salary and bonus that is commensurate with industry and

Duties Include:

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and
    performance
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to both the private equity investor, as well
    as the institutional lenders. Serve as the primary point of contact for all financial related matters at the
    Company.
  • Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline
  • Coordinate with third-party advisors to complete all required financial documents / reviews
    including annual audit, tax reporting, etc.
  • Supplement existing accounting team to providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial
    reports, and financial trends to assist the CEO, COO, Board, and other management in performing
    their responsibilities
  • Optimize the handling of customer receivables and banking relationships to enhance the
    Company’s cash position
  • Work with branch and corporate management to optimize inventory and purchasing
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new
    programs/strategies and regulatory actions
  • Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way
    of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Company
  • Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline
  • Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of branch managers on financial issues impacting budgets
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization, i.e., evaluation of potential acquisitions and/or strategic partners
  • Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the Company may enter
  • Be a key member of the senior management team for mission-critical decisions

Position Type / Hours:

  • This is a full-time position. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    Education and Experience:
  • A bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in audit/accounting is required
  • Familiarity with construction projects and equipment installation and service is highly preferred
  • Previous experience supervising finance and accounting professionals is preferred
  • A Master’s degree or CPA is a plus
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or ERP is ideal
